What is the Microsoft Command Shell?

The Microsoft Command Shell (also known as MSH or Monad) is the replacement for the current command-prompt in Windows (cmd.exe) and the Windows Scripting Host (WSH) which executes files with a *.vbs extension. You can find out more about the Microsoft Command Shell on our FAQs to the right.
