Grahame Leonard's early career highlights included qualifying as a Chartered Accountant and working his way through corporate structures, reaching an executive position as a Divisional General Manager with Nylex, which evolved into the BTR Nylex group.

On return from establishing a distribution structure in USA in 1986, Grahame became Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director for the Australian subsidiary of publishing multinational, The Thomson Corporation.

Since 1990, Grahame has graduated in Bachelor of Arts (History Hons.) and Law degrees at Monash University, and has been admitted as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria. He has also developed a reputation as a mentor and strategic advisor, both as a professional independent director and business consultant. He is a part-time lecturer at Monash and Deakin Universities and sessional leader in Corporate Planning for The Australian Institute of Company Directors' Diploma course. His principal skills include strategic planning, negotiation, facilitation, mediation and personal finance and planning, small business management, management accounting and business decision making.

Past and present community and industry positions include Regional Chairman of Australian Institute of Management (Illawarra), President of Plastics Institute of Victoria, President B'nai B'rith Unit Mitzvah, Vice-President Executive Council of Australian Jewry and President Jewish Community Council of Victoria.
